Interests

Topics I keep circling

The themes most of my writing tends to land on. Loosely overlapping; there's a reason you can't really do analytics in a regulated business without thinking about governance, and the AI question makes both more interesting.

Nepal and the diaspora

I'm Nepali, and a lot of what I think about circles back home. Politics, economy, the experience of being away, and how community holds together across continents. Most of my side projects sit somewhere in this space.

Business performance

The metrics big organisations actually run on, and how the picture changes when you move from a dashboard to a planning conversation.

AI implementation

How AI shows up inside real workflows. What works, what looks impressive but doesn't ship, and where the genuine productivity gains seem to live.

Data governance

Sovereignty, retention, and policy guardrails for regulated environments. The questions that get harder, not easier, as the technology matures.

Compliance-first AI

Adopting AI in a way that holds up under audit. Designed around what regulators actually say, not what vendors hope they say.

Analytics infrastructure

Pipelines, governance, and the layer of plumbing that makes everything above it work. Mostly boring on purpose.

Product analytics

How analytics teams turn behavioural data into product decisions. Less central to what I'm thinking about these days, but still in the toolkit.
